Security
Access to Hideaway Lake is
limited to members, their guests, and authorized service persons
and companies. This is controlled by two manned
security gates.
A significant
portion of Hideaway Lake 's boundary is also fenced,
and security patrols are
provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Security Department, which has a total of 21
employees, also enforces traffic, animal control,
and other rules adopted for the safety and security
of the community. Security officers also provide
home security checks and a variety of other helpful
services to members.
Emergency Medical Service
Hideaway Lake has an emergency medical services base located within the community which is manned 24 hours a day by professional paramedics of East Texas Medical Center. Air transport service is also available in emergencies to three nearby regional hospitals.
Fire Protection
Hideaway Lake property
and lives are protected against fire by the Lindale
Fire Department, a top-rated fire department which
has achieved an outstanding Insurance Services Office
rating of 3. The fire department, which includes
both paid and volunteer members, operates from a
brand new fire station located just across Interstate
20 from Hideaway Lake.
