Hideaway Lake is fortunate to be located 15-30 minutes from not one or two but three regional medical centers in Tyler, East Texas' leader in health care. Two of those regional medical centers also operate primary care facilities within five minutes of Hideaway.

East Texas Medical Center is the regional hub of a network of hospitals in the region. Named a "Top 100 Hospital" by Solucient in a survey of 3,095 acute care facilities in the U.S., ETMC offers special care centers for cancer, diabetes, digestive disease, cardiovascular care, men's health, mental health, senior health, spinal and neurological care, urology, and rehabilitation. East Texas Medical Center also operates an extensive emergency medical service, including the ambulance program that serves Hideaway Lake, and a primary care clinic within 5 miles of Hideaway Lake. Just outside Hideaway's gate, ETMC operates a fitness and rehabilitation center popular with many Hideaway Lake residents.

Another regional health care giant, Trinity Mother Frances, offers acute care in its 350-bed-plus flagship facility in Tyler. Founded in 1937, TMF offers specialized care in bariatrics, cancer, cardiac health, children's health, cosmetic surgery, neurology, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, podiatry, rheumatology, sports medicine, urology, vascular medicine, and women's health - plus emergency room care and a network of emergency medical service units. Trinity Mother Frances is currently constructing a new 20,000 square foot family care center within five minutes of Hideaway.

The University of Texas Health Center northeast of Tyler near I-20 is founded on the former site of Camp Fannin, a WWII infantry training site. The UT Health Center sees over 138,000 patients per year, providing health services in 20 outpatient clinics while also offering inpatient hospital services and emergency room care.

As the leading medical care center in East Texas, Smith County offers the widest selection of family physicians and medical specialists in the region, including a Veterans Administration clinic for former service members. Hideaway is also only 90 minutes away from the medical resources of a major city, Dallas.
